INIT Customer won National Transport Award for Technology / Jul 26, 2004

| After winning the London Transport Award for Technology in March 2004, METROLINE has now also won the National Transport Award for Technology for the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) provided by INIT.
The Technology Award was presented to METROLINE, a London bus operator, in recognition of their satellite positioning system, called iRIS (Intelligent Route Information System). METROLINE impressed the jury because their new technology has been used in a way that has successfully improved the performance of London bus services.
